Morning everyone! Its a classic case of the right hand not having a clue to what the left hand is doing. Some of your may of encountered a broken link when trying to download yesterday. The files were there, someone just decided to MOVE THEM! LOL So my store runs with the zencart program and the program does regular upgrades via fantastico on my webserver, apparently their program is goofing up so tech support manager has a ticket submitted to admin to do the upgrade manually for me and fees are being waived since its not a mistake of mine that is causing it. Admin gets the ticket, puts it on hold and sends me an email saying I need to cough up 80 bucks for then to continue. I get back on with tech support confused, they tell me it shouldnt of happened and they resubmit the ticket to them again with a NOTE saying that the fees are waived. 2 days later nothing has happened and I get another email, same as before. I get back on with tech support. He CALLS THEM HIMSELF to tell em they need to do this asap, he confirms that they have picked up the ticket and tells me that it should be done shortly. 2 days later nothing not even an email. So last night I get on tech support again, round 4 and he tells me that he can submit the ticket again, cause apparently the first 3 attempts didnt work lefts give it another try...DONT THINK SO! I was so beyond fed up at that point and manager had to actually walk himself over and physically point out on the ticket the note saying fee waived before the admin could actually be bothered to do his job. Apparently noone thought to read the notes on it. Hostgator should rename itself to HOST MONKEY. At least thats what it feels like for me at the moment. UGH! That was my drama for the evening. They upgrades are done and everyhting is right in the world again! LOL So shouldnt be anymore wacky links. but seriously is it just me or is that a bit over the top rediculous. I get that mistakes happen and in a company as big as them they are gonna goof but THAT? Wow! Anyways I got an easter brag book for your guys this round. Here is day1 Enjoy!!!
This is too cute! Love the colors.

ReplyDelete1st, thank you for a lovely freebie! So cute. Next, so sorry to hear you are burned out on kits. But hopefully you will get that mojo back and running for us! LOL! And last, OMG, what a mess with "support". Ya know, I'm not sure why they call themselves that when they really don't support much but causing major frustrations! LOL! I am a medical biller in a small doctors office. I deal with particularly bad medicaid programs here (I've heard other states aren't quite so bad) and the commercial plans aren't much better. To be honest, they've all gotton so bad it's crazy. And the ones that have us calling other countries is just the biggest pain. We need the jobs here, not overseas! And the culture difference is so big that 90% of the time they cannot understand what we need done. It's just a huge pain! BUT, I have a job and I am very grateful for that. Times are tough!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, hang in there! Great you got it worked out. And you'll be back designing kits again in no time!
Hugs, Tif
