SOOOOOWY!

So I mentioned that I was suffering migraines right? 3 days solid actually. I have never gotten anything like these before and they had me as confused as I was frustrated OMG the pain is unreal. My birthmom and step sister both suffer em and have for most their lives but somehow I managed to luck out not having inherited that curse. Or at least I thought so till this week. Well headache finally goes away Friday night and Im thinking wow that is over thank god! But wake up Sat morning was a clear explanation to what was causing the headaches. Not migraines at all. The left side of my jaw was swollen up to the size of a grapefruit. NOT JOKING! UGH I look like Quasimoto! Not so much now as I did that morning but imagine how freaked out I was and the pain from it UGH! Woke up hubby, threw on some clothes and headed to the ER. The diagnosis: My last wisdom tooth decided to make its debut and rather than breaking through strait up like its supposed to, it had no room to do so and broke through as a side angle effectively tearing the gums up pretty good and cause an absess that resulted in what appeared to be a grapefruit in my cheek. A few days of percosets and some antibiotics and its gone down to barely noticeable but now I gotta get into a dentist tomorrow and schedule a surgery to have it extracted. So that is where I been for two days hence no freebie postings. I am gonna try and get working on day 6 in the morning if I dont end up getting into the dentist early. But bear with me, Ill get these out soon as I can. I fear its gonna be a looooooooong week for me. Supposed to be 115-118 degrees tomorrow on top of it all. OH JOY! Hope your weekend went better than mine did!
Hugs
Misty

  5. If this posts twice, I'm sorry, can't figure out what's going on. Sorry to hear about your headache, and your toothache!! I've had my horrible experiences with both so many times. On the headache part, just for future info to others, I used to have migraines so bad I couldn't even function. I tried prescription and pretty much all the over the counter items I could find, with no relief. I used to work for an auto dealership and had a huge one and didn't have my typical Advil or Tylenol on me. I went back to the shop area and got a package of "headache pills" out of the mechanic's medicine cabinet and took the two that were in the little package. It dawned on me after about 10 minutes that I didn't have a headache at all any longer. I ran back there (quickly, believe me, lol) to see what in the world they were and what was in them. I really couldn't see what 'magic' ingredient there was, but stocked up quickly (the mechanics may have to suffer until they were restocked! haha). When the lady from a local company came to refill it, I was greeting her at the door to order some and find out what the deal is with them. She said they have caffeine, which is a blood thinner and loosens the blood vessels. I was a new person and had a life back. I eventually changed jobs and really had a difficult time getting with her to buy them directly (even in parking lots...felt weird like a drug deal! lol) Well, I searched all the counters at the pharmacies and found Anacin. Also, a lot cheaper and readily available. I was soooooo thankful to God because when I feel the dreaded pain (you know when it's the migraine type), I take two Anacins and I haven't had a full blown or even close headache like that since that day at the dealership and that was around 2001. Just wanted to pass this along, because I know the misery first hand to the point I had to go to bed and wanted to die. Also, my GYN a long time ago told me chocolate brings them on, as well as pizza. He wasn't sure why on the pizza, but thinks it's the spices. He's right, as I feel the symptoms if I eat it. Anyway, best of luck and God Bless!!! Also in 111 degree record breaking temps...not good!!

  7. I know that abcesses are nothing to mess around with - my 20+year-old son had one that had gotten so bad he couldn't even open his mouth wider than was necessary for a straw. Our dentist saw him and sent him in to the oral surgeon immediately for extractions. The dentist told me later that if the surgeon hadn't been able to take him right then, he would have had Andrew admitted to the hospital for IV antibiotics until Andrew could get in with the oral surgeon.
Also, RJ is right - posting goodies for your loyal followers should be the very least of your worries right now...
Take care and feel better soon!

  9. Oh, you've been having a horrible time. Just get yourself fixed up and don't worry about the freebies. I've been in your place with tooth pain, and honestly, I don't think there's anything worse. My dentist once even came into his office very late at night to help me out. Take care.

  10. I'm sorry Misty; that pain is terrible! I'm so glad you found the cause and started treatment. I've had migraines for years. Then I started having facial migraines where the whole side of my face as well as head hurt. Those were worse than the reg. kind! I was soon to find out I had an infected tooth. I took 2 rounds of antibiotics (first round didn't work) and then had the tooth pulled. Yeah! No more facial migraines and no toothache. I sure was a relief. I'm fine now and you will be too. Just hang in there! (((HUGS)))

  12. OMG! I've dealt with chronic headaches since I was a teenager and I'm 44 now. The doctors can't find the cause but I feel for you. My wisdom teeth came in sideways and pushed all my other teeth forward and I ended up having braces just to correct that. So I totally understand both the headaches and the tooth issue. Hopefully you will be feeling much better in the next couple of days and that you have central air. The heat is brutal. I agree with everyone else the freebies can wait.

  13. Thanks everyone for the support! Yeah its been a long weekend to say the least but hubby was awesome this last weekend just letting me sleep and taking over baby duty and has been trying to make things easier as much as he can. The meds have done a lot and feeling a lot better, cant chew for crap yet but dont look so much like quasimoto today HAHAHA! Never a dull moment huh? On the bright side this is my last wisdom tooth, the other three got extracted back when I was in Japan so shouldnt be having to deal with this drama again YAY! By the end of the week I should be good as new. Gonna get the new freebie up tomorrow for you. Im almost done with it now. Took naps with lil man today and got some work done while he was up. Hugs
