Clowning Around Brag Book Day 1!

New freebie starting today. Brag Book pages using the Clowning Around Kit. Katie wanted to do something in line with our birthdays as we are both celebrating one this week. Mine yesterday and hers in a few days. She is a few days ahead of me on this one but Im posting em as well as promised. I still gotta finish the last few days worth of em but here is day 1.

Im sure you have noticed the the last freebie mini is now taken down except for the final day which was the alpha. Its INSD weekend and if you are like me you are on the hunt around the web for freebies and awesome sales to grab up and so Im leaving day 7 up another day till tomorrow evening so if you missed it you can still grab it.

On that note I do wanna mention something. There was a gal who sent me a rather hostile email about these freebies. That I dont leave them posted long enough for those people who are not online daily to grab them up. While I do try to leave the freebies up until the end so you can grab em all if you miss a day or two im sure there are still those who miss some. In fact I have had people email me that they missed this or that day and I sent em the links just the same. I have even had a few gals email me that they will be out of town when this or that day will post and I sent em an early link so they didnt miss out. You CAN email me if you miss out on a post so you can still get em. This is supposed to be fun for everyone involved.

You have also noticed that I host my own downloads. I dont make anyone go to these free download sites where they get hounded by ads and such but rather I pay for a web server that I can host these downloads for you directly from my blog. This requires that I keep tabs on how many products and how much space I have on there any time so this is one reason why I move them to the stores. There are freebies that have remained free that are simply listed in the store as a free download.

A lot of designers out there use the freebies as a marketing tool. And while freebies are great for promoting a product I do em regularly like this cause I was once just starting out in this digital world and had barely a buck or two for basic necessities let along money to splurge on digital supplies. I was rather frustrated myself with the lack of generosity out there among the digital blogs so I try to be different which is why I like doing these kits for you guys as well. I wanted to let you all know that so you can contact me if you miss a day or two. This is supposed to fun as I said. Here is day 1 of the BB freebies! Enjoy...

I'm glad that you spelled out your policy because from the beginning, I think you have been one of the best designers in regards to helping out your customers, and those wanting access to your freebies. I have always seen your willingness to work with us, and I hope that doesn't change because of a few complainers. Keep up the good work! :0)

  3. I appreciate the support guys and while I thought it was a bit over the top I had to stop and ask myself if there was any truth to it. Its easy to assume that people get on just as much as you. Being that I work online I am always online so I forget that others dont get on quite so much. I would hate to think someone missed out on something cause the couldnt get online in time and not realize that they can just email me about it and have a quick fix to the issue. That at least needed to be said I thought. What seems common sense to some just isnt to others and vice versa you know? I am glad everyone likes the freebies and I will continue to do them regardless of a few critical character.

  5. Ahhh Misty. How sad that somebody had to complain. I just discovered your site and freebies when you were doing the Clowning Around Alphabet and now I come by daily just to see what you're up to. If I do download something I always leave a comment. I do miss a day now and then but I would never think to complain. It's my birthday week too ... mine will be on Tuesday. Wishing you a belated happy Birthday and sending along early B-Day greetings to Katie. Thanks so much for all you do.

  9. No the freebies wont change. I enjoy doing that then I know you guys appreciate them. I have been stewing on that email for a while and felt I should clear that up cause I wouldnt want anyone to feel like they are being toyed with. A simple email can clear up pretty much anything. I try to see things from all perspectives but Im not perfect. You guys really are awesome! Thanks for your input on this. Perhaps I take this too much to heart but I cant help it. Im one of those people who does not value money and possessions I value people and having people angry at me bothers me immensely. LOL Yeah I got issues! HAHAHA

I myself have missed a few days of the mini kits but realized that you can only have them on for so long. Thanks so again for all the cute stuff. I love them lots!

Your work is beautiful and I love the freebies (especially the brag books as I love those). I must say that I pretty much buy up the kits that your freebies are made from because I'm addicted that way ;) You are amazing and it's obvious from all the posts very much appreciated.   12. THANK you, Misty! There are always people out there who think the designers don't do enough. Would they make the same comments to you if these freebies were posted in a store with a link good for only 24 hours? I don't think so. They are just rude and should be happy that there are GIFTS for us to download at no charge. So again thank you for all you do.

  15. I honestly think a big part of the rant was at designers in general not just at me. There are a lot of blogs where freebies are only there 24 hours or less and it can be frustrating trying to keep up with those blogs when you work and raise a household but still wanted to make sure this was just an isolated beef and not something a lot of you were feeling as well. I wouldnt wanna add to that frustration if I was inadvertently doing so.

    I'm so sorry you had to endure such an unhappy customer. I, for one, am always grateful for giveaways, and am well aware of the "risk" of missing days! I want to say THANK YOU for ALL that you do and for ALL that you give us, because these freebies and your time and generosity are not for us to demand. They are a privilege!

    All right...onto the brag book pages at hand...I have now collected days 1-7, and again I say THANK YOU. Oh, and....HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)

  18. I apologize that someone was so rude and unthankful! I love the freebies and do so appreciate them! My husband complains less when I buy kits from designers that I can tell him give me so much (and that also do such a great job on their kits!)

Simply that the encounter made me think a good deal on this and I wanted to emphasize that if there is a problem or a missed freebie you guys can just email me and let me know so I can send a link or resolve it.   20. Misty... love love love your designs. I don't always comment on each download, but do comment when I grab the last one of the set. Just starting this one as I am just finding your designs and love them. When I buy kits (and I do) I always try to support those who are so generous in their freebies, because you don't have to do it.
