Original Clipart!
Katie and I find ourselves with ideas coming at us all the time. We both have 100s of partially started kits or folders started that we just dont see ourselves finishing anytime soon. Personally I have drawn quite a bit of original designs to use and find that they have for the longest time just sat there failing to spark an idea. Katie and I were talking this morning about it. There are so many customers with us who are teachers, they buy the kits but only really use the kids and elements that come in the kits. We have gotten many requests for JUST the elements instead of all the other stuff and while we are still doing kits that is not gonna change we decided to start a new catagory at the stores called clipart and this is where you can get the cute stuff in itself for cheap! I posted the first few sets up this morning... What cha think?

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I don't actually have a little musician at home, but I love the idea of small unique embellies. There are times when I have a special single page I am working on. An entire kit is overkill. So many of your kits are so versatile, I only need an item or two to tie the page into the photo subject and still match the album (in my case ballet shoes not instruments). Keep up the great work, ladies. Your kits are some of my favorites on the web :)

ReplyDeleteThey are CUTE! :D I like kits better, but the clip art only works. However, I think it would be better if the clip arts are in the same colors as kits you already have made, that way we can get the clip arts and match them with kits we already own, instead of having clip arts that don't match with anything.
ReplyDeleteI hope the New York City kit you mentioned you wanted to do a while back is not one of the kits that you have no design spark to do. :( I've been waiting for that one.
Sorry, one more thing. Is the violin clipart multiracial like you other kid elements? I LOVE, let me repeat myself, LOVE, the fact that you have multiracial kits!!! If you make a NYC kit, PLEASE make it be multiracial. Pretty Please. :)

You know I put the NY kit on hold cause a designer friend of mine is working on one in that theme so out of respect for her I dont wanna release a kit of the same theme at the same time. So Ill finish it but just giving hers a bit of time to be out there before I throw another out.

DeleteI think it's a great idea to expand your scrap inventory to suit your customers and fans! Obviously we all scrap and digiscrap differently, so why not include and elements/clipart category? Nicely done!
